A Story In White
Aereogramme will release their debut LP, A Story In White, on September 24th via the esteemed Chemikal Underground label. It is a record that marries punishing metal with sublime moments of beauty.

Aereogramme are three in a number and are born of Glasgow’s alternative scene. Some three years ago guitarist and singer Craig B was serving time with the now defunct Ganger. Though Ganger’s take on rock won fans, Craig B found that outfit too limiting for his new songs. Ganger self-imploded and Craig B set about working on material with long-time friend Campbell McNeil. With the addition of drummer and percussionist Martin Scott they realised that three really was the magic number.

Aereogramme first recorded output came in 1999. Two sold out singles on their own Babi-Yaga imprint (“Translations” and “Hatred”) brought them to the attention of Chemikal Underground. A further limited edition EP (The Glam Cripple EP) followed last year, this time though for Chemilkal’s offshoot Fukd ID.

Aereogramme stole themselves away to CaVa studios earlier this year and there they began work on “A Story In White”. Weaving aggression, raw emotion, pure metal and electronica, they transform calm in to mayhem and fury back into restraint without any surface glitches. They know no fear. They are ambitious and a “Story In White” fulfils those ambitions.

It is noted that Aerogramme are also co-conspirators, together with Mogwai’s Dominic Aitchison, in Glasgow’s and possibly the UK’s only Sunday afternoon metal disco - Deathlehem!
